The New Wynn Hospital
Working for MVHS includes a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, the first in New York State in the last 30 years, and to be part of transforming healthcare in our community. The Wynn Hospital, which will be completed by the Fall of 2023, will be a new, nine-story, 703,000 square foot facility and central utility plant located on a 25-acre parcel adjacent to the Downtown Utica business district. It will be a modern facility with private patient rooms, large windows to enhance healing, flexibility to keep pace with rapidly changing technology and delivery models.
This new facility and its full clinical campus will be capable of handling 85-90 percent of all healthcare needs and will:
- Grow and strengthen full service cardiac offerings, building on our designation as the first HeartCARE
- Center by the American College of Cardiology in New York State.
- Develop the Neurosciences Institute which includes our Neuroendovascular Center and a Comprehensive
- Stroke Center.
- Establish the Center for Surgical Innovation, expanding general and robotic services as well as an Orthopedic
- Institute, building on our proven renowned outcomes.
- Bring world class diagnostics to the region, including interventional radiology and advanced endoscopy.
