COMPENSATION ANALYST
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director, HR Operations or designee, the Compensation Analyst will administer compensation strategy to support and sustain a high performing culture that attracts, retains and rewards talent.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze internal and external salary and wage data. Audit data to ensure accuracy
- Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence
- Evaluate resumes and recommend salaries for new hires, internal promotions, reclassifications, and other employee actions
- Coordinate compensation deliverables ensuring proper tracking and disposition within the organization
- Research job requirements and evaluate job positions internally and externally to ensure organizational equity
- Ensure compensation data is accurate across all Human Resource systems
- Prepare and present reports of job and compensation information
- Maintain organization wide job description library. Provide appropriate job descriptions and if none currently exist provide the department the tools for drafting a new position description.
- Liaison with departments and respond to questions regarding compensation guidelines, processes, and procedures
- Draft increases for represented and non-represented employees based on the compensation practices governing their employment
- Gather data, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and make appropriate recommendations for compensation projects
- Meet all federal, state and local regulatory compliance requirements
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to compensation programs, organizational policies, and operations
- Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel
- Strong team management skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
