Job Summary

 

This position is responsible for the safe, comfortable, courteous, timely transport of patients via prescribed transport vehicles.  The Transport Tech is responsible for working with the nursing staff to assist in the patient care related to the transfer and transport of the patient to and from the nursing unit.  Responsible for the delivery of equipment and reallocation of transport devices to various areas within the organization.  Greeting customers/ patients and responding to their needs questions in the main lobby.  Ensures a clean and safe environment by maintaining safety standards and performing cleaning in the main lobby as needed.  These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities. 

Education Requirements

 

Required: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.  

 

Technical skills with phones/computer systems. Customer Service skills a must.

 

Preferred: Knowledge of computer/phone systems preferred. Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to multitask and work in a high pressure environment.
