Training Specialist - Full Time - Days
Job Summary
The Training Specialist provides end user training for designated Revenue Cycle operations and workflows. Tracks user competency and prepares training material. Delivers multi-communication channel support for end users for new or updated changes, is responsible for ongoing auditing and acts as a resource for staff questions or account assistance related to Revenue Cycle operations.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led training sessions and on the job training for end users in various environments.
- Assist in the development, maintenance and updating of training materials.
- Provide at-the elbow support for end users for new or updated changes.
- Track and report training participation and proficiency level.
- Responsible for assigned Epic work queue account corrections, with emphasis on identifying needed system changes or trends for education purposes.
- Act as an overall resource for end users in assigned areas.
- Conduct ongoing account auditing for quality, trending, education and monitoring purposes.
- Adhere to established training formats, workflows and policies to ensure consistency.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in Revenue Cycle (i.e., Registration, scheduling, billing, etc.)
- Highly proficient in Revenue Cycle operations.
- Must complete training and tasks to achieve and maintain a Credentialed Trainer status, within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a fast paced, frequent changing environment.
- High-energy with ability to gain engagement and sustain for extended training periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours/various shifts to accommodate training needs.
- Ability to travel between MVHS locations during the workday if needed.
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare or related field.
- Experience with Epic or other healthcare EMR.
- 2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle operations.
- 1 year of prior training experience.
