Orthopedic NP - Office Based

Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is looking for an Orthopedic PA/NP. Our current team of 4 orthopedic surgeons and 3 APP’s are looking to expand the orthopedic department. We currently have 2 PA’s and one NP. Current model is 1:1 with a surgeon and being backup for the others. There are responsibilities in the clinic, OR, and hospital. The person would also be trained in basic orthopedic procedures such as reductions, casting/splinting, injections, etc. There is general call shared with the other APP’s to provide support the on-call physician. APP’s are currently NOT first call.

Core Job Responsibilities

No ortho experience required. Surgery experience is a plus!
Willing to work in the OR and clinic
Will be trained in all aspects of orthopedics
Call is 1:4 with the other APP’s
New Wynn Hospital opening late 2023
Level III Trauma Center
Full support staff available.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required: Completed an NP or PA Program
Preferred: Surgery Experience

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required: NYS License
