Job Summary

In collaboration with Physician Lead, Cardiac Steering Committee and the Senior Management Team, the AVP of Cardiac Service Line provides leadership, direction on long-range planning, and leadership for Cardiac Services.  Plans, directs and coordinates the development and implementation of cardiovascular programs consistent with the mission and vision of­­­­ MVHS. Responsible for the service line planning, business development and growth for cardiovascular care including: general cardiology, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, cardiac testing/imaging and cardiac rehab across the health system. Develops collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, regional health providers, the community, and professional organizations to ensure a continuum of care focus and to enhance the image of MVHS. Works with Physician Lead, Cardiac Steering Committee, other senior leaders, cardiac program managers and departments to ensure system collaboration. 

Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or equivalent preferred.
  • Five to seven years of progressive health system management required;
  • Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills; strong understanding of business goals and objectives, ROI and cost modeling experience.
  • Ability to lead large diverse multidisciplinary teams of professionals in a highly complex, constantly changing matrix management structure.
