Business Operations and Analytics Professional
Job Summary
The Business Operations and Analytics Professional provides insight-driven analyses and recommendations that enhance organizational decision-making within a clinical quality, business and performance improvement framework. The incumbent is an analytics professional who leads reporting and data visualization development in partnership with stakeholders. Builds dashboards, reporting, and trusted analytics content that is consumed by other analysts or stakeholders.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development of effective key performance indicators, management dashboards and scorecards that provide enhanced insight and improve service line/organizational decision-making.
- Define and implement analytics strategies that align with organizational and service line/unit objectives.
- Develop and maintain a data infrastructure that supports the need of the service line.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and track key performance indicators.
- Communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way, i.e., performance improvement plans and intervention.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and policies.
- Prepare and present data and reports to department leadership.
- Establish and maintain relationship with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals and objectives.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Ensure a linkage between the service line/department’s efforts and the organization’s goals.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of equivalent or related experience using data and analytics in a business and/or quality management environment.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills are necessary in dealing with a variety of healthcare and finance professionals
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze, organize and present data.
PREFERRED:
- Master’s Degree
- 5 years of equivalent or related experience
- Experience in healthcare industry
- Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence tools
- Knowledge of hospital decision support and EMR systems, EPSi and Epic
