Job Summary

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ordering goods and services for the Mohawk Valley Health system to authorized suppliers through the Lawson system.   Ensuring the vendor is in compliance with pricing and informing customers of backorders and substitute products.  Processing expedited requests as necessary to ensure a smooth flow of the supply chain. Works closely with internal departments and vendors.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Place and confirm a high volume of purchase orders.
  • Provide customer service and support to multiple departments and outside vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • General office skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
  • Basic knowledge in operating office equipment.
  • Good filing skills.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Education/Qualification:

Diploma/GED not required experience in healthcare preferred
