Job Summary

Under the general direction set by the Vice President/CHRO, devises talent acquisition strategy, methods, processes, practices and performance metrics, as well as workforce planning, and onboarding processes. Ensures all talent acquisition policies, processes and practices are compliant with federal, state and local employment law.supervises. Leads, guides and directs, develops and supervises the work of four talent acquisition specialists in accomplishing team goals and objectives and individual performance standards. Plans, executes and evaluates sourcing or recruiting campaigns. Engages in direct recruitment, sourcing and onboarding activities for specified positions.

Core Job Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to produce talent sourcing campaign materials specific to each individualized search, and targeted to high potential candidates from a ‘candidate value’ perspective.
  • Assist hiring managers in defining their strategic workforce needs as a foundation for understanding recruitment objectives.
  • Monitor and continually improve the efficiency of talent acquisition operations and the effectiveness of talent acquisition processes in achieving outcomes through effective process improvement methods.
  • Manage a talent acquisition department consisting of four individual contributors to achieve defined and measured goals and objectives.
  • Establish a talent dashboard with metrics that describe population, attrition, openings by function, with time to fill and other quality data points.
  • Develop and implement approaches and methodologies to seek active and passive candidates; mine social media, professional societies, educational institutions, publicly available/purchased mailing lists, for potential candidates; organize recruitment campaigns and events; engage in relational recruiting to build candidate attachment and retention; build cold prospects into engaged candidates; develop engaged candidates into new hires; retain unsuccessful but otherwise positive candidates for consideration in other searches.
  • Develop a talent sourcing strategy through collaboration with educational, training, workforce development and other organizations with potential for providing qualified talent at all levels of the organization. Utilize workforce development agencies and institutions, and explore workforce development grant funds to develop talent sources in hard to recruit areas.
  • May be assigned special projects.
  • Provide education for managers and recruitment teams on the sourcing, interview, offer process. Include: roles and responsibilities, manager-recruiter partnerships, hiring for success, legal elements of recruitment and hiring, and team behavioral interviewing processes.
  • Serve as routine contact for high-level / critical skill applicants and candidates in assigned areas to ensure high engagement throughout the interview, selection and onboarding process.
  • Routinely confer with hiring manager(s) on talent campaign status and slate of available candidates to assess effectiveness of talent campaign, updating and improving campaign approaches and methods as needed.
  • Team with compensation & benefits professionals to help devise appropriate cash compensation levels for new hires along with related benefits/perquisites to attract talent.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business administration, HR or closely related field. Associate’s degree in business administration, HR or closely related field plus direct experience in healthcare recruiting will substitute for bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

 

Advanced familiarity with the tools and techniques of social media and internet searches. Must be familiar with internet recruitment search engines, tools and methodologies.

 

Preferred: Minimum five (5) years high volume recruitment experience required; healthcare recruitment experience preferred.

 

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required: N/A
Preferred: PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
