Graphic Artist - Full Time - Days
Job Summary
The Graphic Designer will play a key role in creating visually compelling and brand-consistent materials to support a variety of marketing initiatives, including patient education, community outreach, recruitment campaigns and digital media. This individual will be primarily responsible for design and layout of printed and digital materials and will help with some copy writing as well as photo and video recording and editing. Works under the direction of the Vice President, Marketing & Communications.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing team members, service line leaders, and clinical departments to conceptualize and translate communication goals into effective visual content.
- Design and produce a wide range of print and digital materials, including photos, videos, brochures, flyers, posters, signage, email campaigns, social media graphics, presentations, and web assets.
- Ensure all materials adhere to the MVHS’s brand standards, tone, and visual identity.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of templates and design systems to ensure consistency across all marketing collateral.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Support the development of patient education tools, community event materials, and healthcare awareness campaigns.
- Prepare final files for print or digital distribution, working closely with vendors, internal partners and print shop staff to ensure timely and accurate production.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in design and healthcare marketing.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Familiarity with digital design best practices for email, web, and social media.
- Strong typography, layout, and color theory skills.
- Ability to interpret complex information and present it in a visually engaging and understandable way.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to manage workload in a high volume, complex environment.
PREFERRED:
- Five years of professional design experience, preferably within healthcare, nonprofit, or corporate communications.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Photography, video editing, or motion graphics skills a plus.
