Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Vice President, Human Resources, the HRIS Manager will be responsible for strategic leadership, planning, project coordination and execution of all aspects of HR systems, process/outcome metrics, HRIS reporting and assigned HR compliance and auditing activities. Responsible for collaborating with HR partners (i.e payroll, IT) and outside vendors to develop, lead and support efficient and automated workflows. Directs all activities within the scope of HRIS.
Core Job Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the execution of operational and tactical plans to assure that HRIS supports MVHS’ strategic objectives.
In conjunction with the HR leadership team, and in collaboration with system IT, evaluates human resource information systems for creating value in achieving optimal organizational and HR functions. Assists in the selection and contracting for HRIS services. Leads/participates in the implementation of the HRIS service, testing the system to ensure achievement of required performance against defined standards. Execute planning, design, implementation and administration of all HR systems.
Manages the human resource information systems (e.g., Lawson, TAS, performance management, productivity management) leveraging their capabilities to create optimal solutions that meet the needs of the HR function by recommending process improvements, system enhancements and alternatives based on specific needs. Provides ongoing leadership and oversight of information collection, analysis and reporting; manages the input of data and ensures data integrity, security and accuracy.
Works with HR leadership and MVHS leadership to develop and deliver scorecards for manager decision making regarding human capital management.
Direct and manage file feeds and integrations between HR systems, vendors, etc.
Act as a liaison with other departments requiring HRIS support. Collaborates with NDS/IT and Finance/Payroll on specific routine activities, on-demand action teams and scheduled projects.
Participates in HR strategic, tactical and operational meetings, offering creative technological support and solutions to business challenges.
Responsible for oversight and leadership of the HRIS team, creating effective training programs, competency measures and performance evaluation standards, assuring that all team members are able to function in a manner that is supportive to HRIS strategic goals.
Education/Experience Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in human resources, information systems, business administration or closely related field required. Extensive experience with HRIS systems, preferably with Infor/Lawson experience.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience designing and implementing multiple, complex, and diverse HR system solutions including HRIS system evaluation, implementation, application support, process improvement, end user support, troubleshooting and management of HRIS systems to resolve complex business issues. Knowledge of application trends in Human Resources Experience monitoring, managing and auditing HR processes for compliance with federal, state and local laws, labor agreements.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Preferred: SHRM Certified Professional (PHR), Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
