Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the President of the College, cleans assigned areas in the educational building and Regina Hall according to the work schedule.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Accepts responsibility for snow/ice removal around College building when necessary.
  • Maintains an adequate amount of supplies in designated areas, e.g., paper towels, soap, cleaning items. etc.
  • Assists in moving furniture and maintaining lighting in designated areas.
  • Manages trash removal from the College to the designated SEMC collection site.
  • Notifies President of unsafe or inappropriate conditions/equipment.
  • Assists in cleaning of the educational building, classrooms, offices, rest room areas, and waste baskets, etc.
  • Cleans areas as assigned in Regina Hall e.g. bathrooms, halls, lobby area, offices, kitchen areas, and recreation room according to policy.
  • Uses supplies in a cost effective manner.
  • Assists with the annual housecleaning during the summer as scheduled by the College President.
  • Communicates appropriately with the students, faculty and staff.
  • Interacts well, maintaining a good rapport with the faculty, staff, and students, as well as Medical Center employees.
  • Assists other housekeepers with meeting set-ups and dismantles as requested.

Education Requirements

Preferred: High School graduate or equivalent; General cleaning experience (three months or more)
