Interventional Endoscopy PA

Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our high performing Interventional Endoscopy team. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with call responsibilities. This role offers diverse clinical exposure through close collaboration with multiple specialties, including Gastroenterology, Oncology/Cancer Services, Pathology, Radiology, and Surgical Services. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a NYS License. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Help run and optimize a strong and established direct to procedure program
• Assist with consults
• Round on patients and write notes
• Answer triage calls and pages
• Perform follow-up visits as medically indicated
• Attend departmental meetings
• Collaborative working environment in a teaching hospital with residents and medical students
• Working with an exceptionally talented physician
• Call responsibilities

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:    

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.
• Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas. 
• Familiar with EHR/EMR software.   

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:    

• Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
• Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

PREFERRED:

• Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
