Inventory Control Technician - Full Time - Days
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Stockroom Supervisor, the Inventory Control Technician performs data entry, checks stock levels and calls in orders
Core Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the Computer Inventory Control System
- Responsible for load and changes, corrections and adjustments, requests to add, change or delete after review and authorization by the Vice President of Materials Management
- Maintain logging, filing, and source documents
- Correct transaction errors
- Perform periodic inventories
- Handle telephone supply requests
- Perform cycle counts checking for accuracy of system balances on an ongoing basis
- Routine follow-up on any products not meeting delivery schedule with Materials Management Office staff
- Perform follow-up with vendor on any discrepancies found with shipments that day as observed by the Supervisor; contacting Supervisor so decision can be made on how urgent we need product and best way to get product here
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED:
- One (1) year experience with an inventory control system in the healthcare environment
