LockSmith/Door Tech - Facilities - Full Time - Days

Job Summary

Install, repair and maintain Commercial lock and door hardware. Create and maintain master key systems. Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks. Troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical locks. Repair commercial doors (glass, hollow metal, or wood), to include install new hinges or install continuous hinges. Troubleshoot and repair commercial safes. Install and/or repair access control systems.

Troubleshoot with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to understand and complete preventative maintenance programs. Be able to perform heavy lifting and climbing. Ability to perform snow removal duties including shoveling salting and working knowledge of snow plow operations. Strong self-motivation is expected.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • 55% Work order response: but not limited to door locks repairs, padlocks, safe locks, and , and repairs of worn tumblers, springs, and other parts. Repairs to damaged or malfunctioning doors and windows.
  • 25% Preventive maintenance duties: Typical but not limited to Lubricating doors, locks, and related hardware. Performing checks of rated door and servicing/repairing to their rating standard.
  • 10% Compliance with regulatory responsibilities: Ensure appropriate function is maintained to comply with various regulatory agencies. Fire rated door and exit hardware repairs.
  • 10% Quality Improvement: to look for ways to improve the patient / visitor experience.  Provide ease of access to Patients and visitors. Maintain a safe and secure facility.  

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

  • High School or equivalent
  • 5 years of Commercial Door and lock Experience

Preferred: 

  • Associates or higher degree
  • 3-5 years of Healthcare Facilities or Trade Experience
