Job Summary

Description: Under the general supervision and direction of the Education Department Manager, identifies, develops, coordinates and conducts staff educational programs in accordance with the standards established by the State Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, ANA Standards of Care and the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of the Nursing department and MVHS. 

Core Job Responsibilities

Requirements: 
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience preferred in an ambulatory area
- Excellent clinical skills including proficiency in computer programs 
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
- Demonstrated teaching and leadership abilities 
- BSN or expected completion within 2 years
- Meets performance standards and mandatory education requirements of MVHS
 

Education/Experience Requirements

Preferred:   

Proven nursing experience to include a background related to procedural areas (i.e. ASU, ENDO, IR, ACCU)
- Current ACLS certification preferred
 

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:   Registered Nurse 
Preferred:   BSN
