Nurse Technician - Intermediate Care Unit - Full Time (1.0) - Night

Job Summary

Under the general supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisor or RN provides direct care according to the age and developmental level of the patient in accordance with the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Elizabeth Medical Center. 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Receives assignment and report and carries out specific duties as directed by nurse.
  • Observes, collects, documents and reports patient measurements
  • Provides safe, appropriate, timely patient care independently as directed
  • Prepares patient rooms for admission, transfers and discharges
  • Promotes and maintains overall cleanliness of the unit and replenishes stock items
  • Provides safe and appropriate care for infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients

Education Requirements

Required: High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred: Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant or recent nursing school experience helpful but not required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required: Basic Life Support and Behavior Management Training to be completed by end of  probationary period and maintained while in this position.
