Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the direct supervision of the Staff Physical Therapist.

Core Job Responsibilities

Administer physical therapy treatment as directed by the Staff Physical Therapist
Observe and evaluate treatment effects, discuss observations with staff
Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation
Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients
Assist with formulation of a teaching plan
Coordinate and assist with patient care to ensure patient’s needs are met
Maintain records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department and accurately reflect the condition/status of the patient
Keep patient schedule board or book current
Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited college of physical therapist assistant program
Possess a certification from the State of New York
