Job Summary

Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Dept Director or their designee, the LCSW PD position will be responsible for providing an array of clinical services which are required/identified by, formal consultation orders, levied by treating providers from other disciplines, typically including, but not limited to, Physicians, NP’s or PA’s. 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment planning for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

  • Provide counseling and aftercare mental health services for patients as ordered by physicians.

  • Completes concurrent insurance reviews to ensure reimbursement.

  • Collaborates with the physicians for safe discharges.

  • Make referrals an appropriate combination of short-term and group therapy approaches to resolve or ameliorate symptomotology.

  • Completes required medical record documentation on a timely basis; and participates in the Quality Management Plan for the inpatient/outpatient services.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Master’s of Social Work Degree (MSW) from accredited institution.

 

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

  • Valid NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
