Senior Practice Manager - Oncology - Full Time - Days
Job Summary
The Senior Practice Manager will oversee the efficient operation of multiple healthcare practices or sites. The individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and delivering high-quality care to Medical Group patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, with a focus on optimizing workflow processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing patient satisfaction.
Core Job Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Support and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the overall performance and growth of the healthcare practices.
Operational Management:
- Oversee operations and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Responsible for policy development, revision, communication and training.
Financial Management:
- Manage budgetary planning, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management to achieve financial targets and optimize revenue streams.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines.
Quality Assurance:
- Participates in the development of quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care and satisfaction, including monitoring outcomes and implementing corrective measures when indicated.
Staff Development:
- Responsible for the training and supervision of staff members and management, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- In partnership with leadership and Human Resources, make decisions or recommendations related to performance management, hiring, transfers, corrective actions, terminations, etc. Resolve staff issues and grievances in a fair, timely and consistent manner, also in partnership with HR.
Technology Integration:
- Identify and implement innovative systems to streamline operations, improve patient engagement, and enhance the delivery of healthcare services.
- Support new technology implementation with Information Technology
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and external stakeholders to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and achieve organizational goals.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, community.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare, a related degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in medical group practice management
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical office operational concepts and principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
