HR Business Partner

Position Summary:   The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business sites/units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change business agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management.  The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the objectives of the organization.  The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business site/unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.


Required Education and Experience:

Required minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues. Preferred working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.


Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR or closely related field required.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

SHRM Certified Professional (PHR), Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
