Phlebotomist - NEW HIGHER SALARIES & "Learn On Us" Program!

MVHS just went through a major market adjustment for this job description and as a result, raised all salary ranges in this job title to match or beat the current local market. MVHS also announces the opportunity to "Learn on Us"! That's right. If you are currently enrolled in a phlebotomy program and we hire you for a phlebotomy position at one of our facilities, you can qualify to receive 100% tuition reimbursement (up to $2,000) for that phlebotomy class you are enrolled in as part of a sign-on and retention program. Relevant training tuition from a local program (MVCC, BOCES or equivalent) will be paid out over the course of a two-year payback and retention program.
Full and part time positions are currently available with many different shift options to meet your personal availability. Positions available both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. As a phlebotomist for an MVHS facility, your job duties may be:


  • Receiving/Greeting patients
  • Correctly identifying patients
  • Obtaining blood and urine samples
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport
  • Performing clerical and registration functions.




Education: High School Graduate with strong science background.


Experience: phlebotomy or patient care experience preferred.


Licensure/Certification: n/a, but preference given if certificate in Phlebotomy at an approved school of higher learning was obtained or in process at time of application.
